Michelle Taunton joined HelmsBriscoe in 2011. She enjoys using her extensive meeting planning background to assist her clients with their site selection needs. As a former government contractor and Director of Conference Services for a national non-profit, Michelle has extensive experience in understanding clients' goals and objectives, and works hard to exceed their expectations.
Michelle is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), and holds a Certificate in Meetings Management (CMM) designation. She has served on the board of directors of her local Meeting Professionals International (MPI) chapter, and is very active in the industry. She has more than 30 years of experience in the meetings industry, including planning corporate, non-profit, and government meetings. She has managed national and international events ranging in size from single-day, 25-person board meetings, to large, multi-day, complex conventions and black-tie galas with internationally known entertainment. Michelle has received commendations from clients, employers, attendees, and hoteliers for her customer service and her meeting planning skills and knowledge.
