Monica Pla

Monica has been in the hospitality industry since 1992 when she started her career working at various Ritz-Carlton properties, from the Buckhead property in Atlanta to the Ritz-Carlton, Aspen. She was also one of the 20 American Managers selected to open the first Ritz-Carlton in Mexico - the Ritz-Carlton, Cancun. Since then, she had hotel sales positions in various luxury boutique properties throughout the country.

After working on-property for several years, Monica's entrepreneur spirit led her to continue building on her hospitality experience and grow her career with HelmsBriscoe. She has now been with HB for almost 20 years! In 2001, she was one of the co-leaders for the history-making Homeland Security/TSA project, which comprised of a team of 40 HelmsBriscoe Associates, setting up more than 200 interview sites for all Airport Screeners throughout the country. Monica's leadership within HB has grown from Manager to Senior Director, Global Accounts with both domestic clients and international clients. Her vast knowledge, personal touch, and contagious positive energy, makes for an enjoyable experience that is reflected in the relationships she has fostered with clients who continue to work with her from year to year. Monica has been in Master's and President's Club for the last 13 years, and has been a top producer for several hotel brands. Monica has a passion for volunteerism with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Room to Read. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, and cooking with family and friends.
