Marcia Ives originally hails from Prince Edward Island, Canada and is currently based in the historic city of Leiden, The Netherlands. She joined HelmsBriscoe as a Meetings and Events Consultant in late 2019. Marcia is an honours graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island and holds a degree in Modern Languages. She is a native English speaker, is fluent in Dutch, and can hold her own in a French conversation.
A former corporate event manager with 20 years in the financial services industry, Marcia has a sixth sense when it comes to networking, customer service, hospitality, and making connections with others. Marcia prides herself on keeping processes clean and simple, with a focus on her clients' needs and goals. She employs creativity, communication, IT skills, positive energy, and a keen eye for detail to provide quality service. She looks forward to working with a broad range of organizations, especially those in the non-profit, IT and financial sectors. Beyond work life, Marcia practices Ashtanga yoga, goes to indie band concerts, and enjoys visiting modern art museums. Her greatest passions are cooking and music.
Marcia Ives komt oorspronkelijk uit Prince Edward Island, Canada en woont in de historische stad Leiden, Nederland. Eind 2019 is ze voor HelmsBriscoe aan de slag gegaan als Meetings and Events Consultant. Marcia heeft een degree in moderne talen van de University of Prince Edward Island. Ze is een native English speaker, beheerst Nederlands op near-native niveau en spreekt ook een aardig woordje Frans.
Als voormalige eventmanager met ruim 20 jaar in de financiële sector, Marcia heeft een zesde zintuig met betrekking tot netwerken, zakelijke dienstverlening en hospitality. Contact maken met anderen gaat haar gemakkelijk af. Marcia streeft ernaar om processen efficiënt te houden, met de doelstellingen, behoeften en wensen van haar klanten op de voorgrond. Ze zet haar arsenaal in om dit te bewerkstelligen: creativiteit, communicatie- en IT deskundigheid, een scherp oog voor detail en positieve energie. Marcia kijkt ernaar uit met een breed spectrum aan organisaties te werken, met name in de non-profit, IT en financiële sectoren. Buiten haar werk, Marcia beoefent Ashtanga yoga, bezoekt indie concerten en musea voor moderne kunst. Koken en muziek zijn haar grootste passies.
