Karl Hartfield joined HelmsBriscoe in November of 2004, and as a 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry, he brings many years of sales and marketing experience to his role with the company. Karl earned his CMP designation in 2002, and fifteen years of his tenure in the industry was spent with the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau. He also spent time with Fortune 500 companies, including Shell Oil Company, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and 10 years with IBM Corporation. Karl is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and he earned a degree in Marketing and Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Karl is a member of HelmsBriscoe’s President’s Club, a Master Mason, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Houston Branch of the Literacy Volunteers of America, the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, and the Religious Conference Management Association (RCMA). He presently serves on the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum Founder’s Club Board as Vice President. His focus with HelmsBriscoe is in the association, corporate, education, government, medical and religious markets; however, his most important and primary focus is serving the needs of his clients.
