Kari Armond - Senior Director, Global Accounts
After spending more than a decade in both the meetings and hotel industries, Kari combined her experience and became Regional Manager with HelmsBriscoe in 2002. She is now a Senior Director of Global Accounts and a President’s Club Award and top producer recipient with HelmsBriscoe. With a background in both meeting planning and hotel sales, Kari offers an exceptional perspective of bringing meetings and events together. By applying her industry knowledge and experience she provides an invaluable service for her clients. She takes great pride in her work and with her attention to detail, provides a level of service that exceeds expectations. Kari works diligently by providing cost analysis, site visit coordination and contract negotiations to ensure her clients receive the best possible pricing, concessions and risk mitigation. Her client base includes association, corporate, religious and social groups. Kari enjoys building strong relationships with her clients and hotel partners.
Prior to joining HB, Kari was Forum Manager for The Wharton International Forum, an executive education firm that brought together leaders of worldwide businesses with global interests on matters of business, government, society, the arts and culture. While there, she planned, executed and managed international seminars. From 1991 to 1998, Kari worked in the hotel industry for several companies including Hyatt, Marriott and Interstate Hotels. During that time, she spent five years in operations management roles and two years as a group sales manager with Hyatt. Kari holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and has attended Roosevelt and Purdue Universities.
