JanMarie O’Connell joined HelmsBriscoe as Manager, Global Accounts in 2012. Based out of San Diego, California, JanMarie specializes in taking the pressure and stress out of the hotel site selection process and contract negotiations for all of your upcoming off-site meetings and events. She continues to achieve certifications for continued education to ensure her clients receive the best location, at the best price, with the most favorable contract terms.
With more than 15 years of industry experience, JanMarie has worked at American Express and Carlson Wagonlit Travel as a certified travel counselor, organizing agendas and booking business travel. With this background, she moved over to the hospitality side as Sales Manager for both a boutique hotel and then a Radisson Hotel managed by Carlson. JanMarie’s responsibilities in both roles, procuring and managing the group market segments, more than prepared her for her current role within HelmsBriscoe. JanMarie believes in achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing her clients with the collective knowledge of the HB network and its combined negotiation power. Attention to detail, perseverance, as well as hard work are the keys to her client’s success.
