Eric Oosterom joined HelmsBriscoe as Meetings & Events Consultant in 2021. Based out of Weesp, the Netherlands, Eric is half-Dutch, half-Indonesian and speaks four languages fluently: Dutch, English, German and Spanish. He is an expert in organizing and coordinating medium-sized and large international meetings, incentives, conferences, and events. He enjoys going the extra mile, focusing on cost savings, contract negotiations, and customer satisfaction.
Eric has more than 25 years of industry experience. After graduating from the AVR Reisbureau Vakschool in The Hague, he worked for American Express, where he held the position of Senior MICE Project Manager. He was also Event Manager for the WYSE Travel Confederation and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE). More recently, he was part of the small team at Partners & SAM!, a local Destination Management Company in Amsterdam that focuses on business, pharmaceutical, and leisure groups. Eric looks forward to using his experience to help his clients hold successful events anywhere in the world!
