Patty is a 31+ year veteran in the Hotel Convention and Meetings Business. After graduating from Texas Tech University in 1977, she began Hotel career in Operations for first two years in the industry, then was promoted to Sales to develop group and transient business for the Sheraton Mockingbird in Dallas, Texas. Other past Hotel sales experience includes Sales Manager , Director of Sales and Marketing and Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing for the Loews Anatole, Lincoln Hotel Dallas, Southmark Hospitality Management and Omni Hotel Charlotte, NC for a total of 14 years in the Hotel business. Her direct responsibilities included account development and management, hiring and training or all sales managers, budgetary and financial responsibilities.
In 1992 , Patty accepted sales manager position with the Charlotte CVB, then was promoted to Director of Sales with responsibilities for account development and management for the Washington DC and Chicago, IL association sales market as well as hiring and training of sales staff, budgetary and financial responsibilities. She joined HelmsBriscoe in 2002 after ten years at the Charlotte CVB.
