Jim Tysseling joined HelmsBriscoe as Manager, Global Accounts in 2024. Based in Tucson, Arizona, Jim has spent 50 years working in the hospitality industry. He has managed resorts, historic hotels, branded chains, and privately owned boutique properties, where he provided exceptional guest experiences. Jim was the initial development manager of the PetsHotel for PetSmart, and most recently served as the COO of AKC's Petcare Division. In both roles, he worked to redefine hospitality in the pet care space.
Jim's personal passion as a preservation breeder of Basset Hounds and an AKC Judge has engaged him in the planning and execution of large dog sporting events, contracting both indoor and outdoor venues nationwide. This includes direct engagement with contracted properties, lodging accommodations, and support services. He looks forward to using his hospitality experience to assist his clients in finding the perfect venues for their meetings and events.
